Meet the Residents of the Nature Center
The beauty and magic of Amelia Island’s complex ecosystems come to life at the Nature Center.
The Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort's Nature Center brings you up close and personal with the creatures who share our home. Our Nature Center houses a variety of rescue animals and aquariums that guests and residents can explore and interact with in a safe and supervised environment.
Our family of "resident critters" include:
- Marine animals: starfish, horseshoe crabs, sea urchins, oysters and mud snails.
- Rescued animals: a variety of snakes, frogs, turtles, gopher tortoise, crabs, and "Buddy" the Macaw.
For even more family adventure, don't forget to schedule a Segway, kayak, or paddle boarding tour. Our daily tours are a great way to explore the resort's 1,300 acres. With one of our naturalists as your guide, you'll learn all about the abundant wildlife and complex ecology on Amelia Island. Tours can be booked at the Nature Center or online.
