Omni Holiday Cookie Competition

It's beginning to smell a lot like Christmas... cookies that is! And we have plenty to share!

We believe the holidays are a time of togetherness and in this spirit, Omni Amelia Island Resort invited five of Northeast Florida's top pastry chefs to share their treasured holiday cookie recipes in our first Omni Holiday Cookie Competition.

Competing chefs include Chef Paige Murray of the Ponte Vedra Inn and Club, Chef Nils Rowland of Crème de la Cocoa, Chef Christina Longo of Taverna, Chef Rebecca Reed of the Black Sheep Restaurants, Chef Erika Pierce of Moxie Kitchen, and Chef Megan Dolan of Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort.

After trying each cookie in September 2019, the judges named the Rudolf the Red Nose Macaron by Chef Paige Murray the winner, with the Apple of My Pie by Chef Nils Rowland a close second. All of these cookies will be available to purchase on Saturday, November 30 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. during our holiday cookie pop-up shop located at The Shops of Amelia Island Plantation. Thanks to the generosity of our participating chefs, all proceeds from the cookie sales will go to Feeding America Northeast Florida through Omni Hotels' Say Goodnight to Hunger initiative.
